2021 GARNACHA
2023 Cascadia Wine Competition Winner
The 2021 Garnacha was from the 1st ever harvest from Sawtooth Vineyards new block 70 Grenache planting in 2019. We included 20% whole grape clusters into our wild-ferment to pick up more tannin and spice. Aged in 30% new oak barrel, this award-winner is packed with tons of flavor. I recommend decanting to truly bring out the best of this wine.
2021 CARMENERE
2023 Cascadia Wine Competition Double Gold Winner
This was the second time we have gotten our Carménère from Kerry Hill Vineyard and are once again thrilled with the results. The last fruit to come into the winery from the 2021 vintage, our Carménère was de-stemmed and fermented for 14 days with light punch downs twice a day. Aged in 60% new American oak barrels with 9% of Sawtooth Mourvedre blended in. Beautiful balance of fruit, pepper and barrel spice
2022 SOIGNE
2023 Cascadia Wine Competition Gold
This version of my dry rosé uses Grenache from block 70 of Sawtooth Vineyard. The fruit was machine picked in the morning and loaded into the press 4 hours later giving the rosé it’s beautiful color. The juice was moved to neutral barrel for both alcohol fermentation and malolactic fermentation. This rosé has a hint of sweetness upfront, but finishes clean and refreshing.
