AKA MOURVEDRE
The 2016 Mataro was grown on the hot, dry slopes of Red Heaven Vineyard in Washington State's Red Mountain AVA. A slow, cool fermentation preserved wonderful dark fruit aromas and flavors while taming Mourvedre's naturally intense tannin. The resulting wine is full-bodied, yet elegant. Expressing blackberry, plum, and cracked peppercorns. Pair with barbecued meats, pizza, lamb, grilled mushrooms and herbed cheeses.
